Ben Affleck cooks the books on this plot-heavy ‘R’ rated thriller and nearly pulls it out of the red. Unfortunately, a deflating third act, a predictable twist and an almost unnecessary subplot keep this one from balancing out.
The Marvel experiment comes to a wonderful and satisfying conclusion, for now, at least, in the studio’s most mature and grey outing yet.
